The building doubled the UMass Chan’s research capacity and was designed to foster collaborative, interdisciplinary connections between different research fields. The project is certified LEED Gold.

The project includes a 350-seat auditorium, conference and classroom space, as well as the Center for Experiential Learning training center for effective and compassionate clinical care. Additional building program includes the Advanced Therapeutics Cluster and the Computational Cluster for the Quantitative Health Sciences and Bioinfomatics Program.
