As part of the University's strategic vision to enhance the student experience on campus, ARC transformed an abandoned 1921 jewelry factory building at the edge of its Providence campus into a new Student Services Center. The renovated building consolidates functions that were previously spread throughout JWU's Providence Downcity campus to provide students with a "one-stop" experience for academic and financial needs. The design adds a new entryway that preserves the industrial and historic character of the original building, while providing contemporary loft-like interior spaces creating an appealing and comfortable setting for students to meet and hang out.

"ARC has brought a tremendous amount of experience and talent to the design process. We have been impressed with their willingness to understand and interpret Johnson & Wales' building needs to centralize our student services while preserving the historic integrity of the Rolo Building, a former prominent landmark in Providence's jewelry district."
