The new Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) Center houses classrooms, prep rooms, offices and storage space for Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Robotics and DNA Research. At the core of the STEM educational model is flexibility and interdisciplinary learning spaces. The ARC team designed an integrated floor plan with plenty of shared spaces in which students from different classes can collaborate. The design suggests larger, open plan classrooms for multiple configurations and also focuses on transparency, promoting the free flow of ideas and knowledge.
