Harvard University, Cambridge, MA
Completed: 1976/1986 / Size: 400,000 SF
ARC has provided planning and design services for the Kennedy School of Government since 1976. ARC initially prepared feasibility studies related to ultimate land utilization and space requirements for the school, preparing a master plan which examined a planned growth from an initial 105,000 square feet to over 400,000 square feet. Phase II (45,000 square feet) and Phase III (30,000 square feet) were completed by ARC in 1984 and 1986 respectively. Current projects within the school have focused on renovating the oldest areas of the complex to meet the changing demands of the school’s mission and specifically to upgrade the audiovisual and information technology infrastructure.
