Princeton University, Princeton, NJ /  C. Bernard Shea Rowing Center

Completed:

2000

Size:

33,500 (20,000 SF renov; 13,500 SF new)

Building upon Princeton's 135-year rowing tradition, the Shea Rowing Center improves and expands the original Class of 1887 Boathouse into a world-class crew facility. Inspired by the existing building's roof lines and massing, the 13,500 SF addition includes a 16-person rowing tank and workout spaces that have become a recruiting magnet for both coaches and athletes.

"...The result is an absolute gem of a facility, with equal facilities for men and women that has become a magnificent recruiting draw for the coaches. "
