ARC’s renewal of the JUST Label with the Living Futures Institute is a powerful testament to our commitment to progress and positive change! It highlights significant progress in several key areas, demonstrating our commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

Diversity and Inclusion: Our achievement of Gender Diversity Level 4, with a workforce composition of 53% women and 47% men, reflects our dedication to gender balance, marking an improvement from Level 3. However, to advance in Ethnic Diversity and Inclusion, we recognize the need for our demographics to more closely mirror the city of Boston's. Currently, we have a promising representation, with 71% white, 12% Hispanic, 15% Asian, and 2% Black employees, positioning us well as we continue to strive for further inclusivity.

Equity: In the area of Pay-Scale Equity, ARC maintains a ratio of 1:3 between entry-level salaries and those of Principals, aligning with Level 3 standards and our entry-level salaries exceed the requirement for Living Wage Level 2.

Interestingly ARC lost ground in the category of Gender Pay Equity: ARC has a pay variance of 6% between genders, consistent with JUST level 3.  Because ARC currently has a higher percentage of women than men (53/47%) our pay variance is skewed in favor of women. To return to level 4, we need to realign our gender balance and get back down to a maximum pay variance of 5%.

Employee Health: We made strides in employee health by implementing the Blue Cross Healthy Actions plan, elevating us to Level 2 in Physical Health. Our enhanced wellness offerings have earned us Level 3 in Well-being, reflecting our commitment to supporting our employees' holistic health.

Employee Benefits: Enhancements to our paid parental leave policy and compliance with Massachusetts' private plan requirements underscore our progress in Family and Medical Leave, ensuring better protection and support for our employees.

Stewardship and Supply Chain: ARC's increased community outreach and charitable contributions, including a $275K pro-bono project, demonstrate our growing commitment to stewardship. Additionally, our efforts in local purchasing, with a minimum of 10% spent on local goods and services, signify our dedication to supporting local economies.

These advancements not only reflect our progress but also fuel our excitement for what’s next. ARC is making remarkable strides, and we’re thrilled to continue creating a workplace that’s diverse, equitable, and full of opportunities for everyone.
