Maria McMorran, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Maria has worked on a wide range of building types in athletics, science, higher education, and healthcare. Before embarking on her architecture career, she managed landscape and urban design projects for the City of New York Parks & Recreation Department. That experience has influenced her ideas about design, and she strives to design buildings that shape and interact with their surroundings. In Maria’s experience, a knowledgeable client is key to a successful project; the design team is responsible for listening and providing visual feedback that will empower the client to make appropriate decisions. Maria has always been a generalist at heart and enjoys seeing a project through from programming and concept to construction and turnover. She is also committed to sustainability in the built environment, and has been part of the Living Building Collaborative, both in Boston and Oregon.
