ARC designed a series of meeting and collaboration spaces as part of a new faculty office addition to Morison Hall, a 1960s-era faculty office building on the Waltham campus of Bentley University. The glass façade wraps the west side of the addition and floods the teaming spaces with daylight.
“The new addition creates a more interactive environment within what was formerly an uninviting building of long hallways and closed off spaces,” says Robert Quigley, AIA, Principal-in-Charge.” The intent of the open design is to provide more opportunity for collaboration among the faculty and between faculty and students.”
The addition fulfills the first phase of a master plan by ARC to renovate Morison Hall, and the project is one of three ARC is working on at Bentley. Major renovations to Jennison Hall are now underway and will provide an important transformation to the 85,000 square foot academic building by featuring a variety of new meeting, teaming and flexible learning spaces.
