Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA /  2121 Commonwealth Ave Renovation and Addition

Completed:

2012

Size:

70,000 SF

In order to consolidate BC’s University Advancement (UA) department - which was previously housed on three separate campuses - to one main location, ARC renovated the former 1961 Archdiocese of Boston’s Chancery Building on Commonwealth Avenue. The project includes a 20,000 SF addition forming a large skylit atrium, creating an open and interactive environment and is designed to bring natural light into each floor to enhance the working environment for all employees. The improved work and meeting spaces better reflect BC’s institutional values, allowing UA to work more efficiently and also to present a better image for the college at a critical time in BC’s capital campaign.
